Many people loved the Sony flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z3. If you are one of them but cannot afford to get such an expensive smartphone,  you should definitely go for their economical smartphone; the Xperia E4.

The Xperia E4 has a beautiful 5 inch display screen with a resolution of 960 X 450 pixel. It has a 5 megapixel camera on its rear side. It has a pixel density of 220 pixels per inch. It comes with a fast 1.3 Gigahertz quad-core processor. It offers 8 gigabytes of internal storage and 2,300 mAh battery. Sony claims that it comes with a scratch resistant glass. Some other features include WIFI, Bluetooth, Native USB tethering, Smart Connect, USB High Speed 2.0, Sony 3D Surround Sound technology, and FM Radio with RDS.

The market dictates what phones are on the shelves and there’s a growing demand for cheaper Smartphones and Sony have responded with the Xperia E4.

According to the experts this smartphone would be available for approximately $150 in the market. Sony has not yet announced its price or the countries where it would be available for purchase.

Due to its size it falls in the phablet category. Even then the plastic rounded back makes it very handy to use. It is available in white and black colors. Its camera includes HDR function and also allows taking panoramic views and burst shots.

Its 1.3 Gigahertz quad core chip comes with 1 gigabyte of RAM. Although it offers 8 gigabytes of internal storage but you can use only 5 gigabytes. Rest of the space is used by the Android software. To compensate that it also offers Micro SD card slot which can give you an additional space up to 32 gigabytes.  If you like to play games or use apps with lots of computing power requirements, then 1 gigabyte of RAM is not enough. 1 gigabyte of RAM lets you send text messages, browse the internet, editing photos, use small apps efficiently.

Although it has a 2,300 mAh battery, Sony boasts that you can use the phone for a couple of days by charging it only once. It depends how much you use the phone but from their statement it looks like that the battery life of this phone is definitely great.

Sony Xperia E4 comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat pre-installed on it. Although it is not the most recent Android version but it is still pretty decent. Sony isn’t offering the latest Android version even on its flagship smartphone yet.
